FRAMING RECOMMENDATIONS: FINE ART PRINTS
My fine art, Giclée prints are expertly printed on Ilford textured cotton paper by my trusted printer in Adelaide, South Australia.
Fine art prints need to be framed behind glass to ensure the longevity of the artwork, due to a glass frame's fragility we only ship prints unframed (either rolled in a mailing tube or flat in a rigid box depending on the size).
You will therefore need to have your print framed locally, if you are in Adelaide I highly recommend The Frame Connection on Sir Donald Bradman Dr. To achieve the same look as I do with my frames please read on for a couple of recommendations.
- I love the look and feel of Tasmanian oak. The light ash colour compliments my artwork beautifully and creates a sophisticated and polished feel. I use a 12x20mm profile with a white matting.
- Please note fine art prints are particularly delicate so please ensure your framer is aware that they should only be handled by the outer edges. Please only remove the print from the packaging when it's ready to go straight into a frame.
- Most of my smaller artworks will fit into ready-made frames. Country road and office works have a gorgeous range of options to choose from.
